Are you or someone you know a student interested in pursuing a wildlife career? Or perhaps you are not sure of what career path you want to take but have an interest in wildlife? If you answered yes to any of these, we have something for you! 

On June 7, at Magee Marsh Wildlife Area, the Ottawa SWCD, Division of Wildlife, Pheasants Forever, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, and many more organizations will be hosting “Think ‘Outside’ the Box- Wildlife Careers.” This event is open to any students interested in wildlife. There will be many different people, stations, and learning opportunities including:

  • Wildlife Law Enforcement
  • Division of Wildlife Helicopter Pilot, Joe Barber (yes, there will be helicopter rides!)
  • Wildlife Biology
  • Graduate Research Projects
  • Habitat Management

The cost of the event is $20 and lunch will be provided. Attendees are asked to bring work boots/waders, long pants, a change of clothes, and binoculars/cameras.
