One deer was harvested during the 2024 Impaired Mobility Deer Hunt at Proving Ground Farm. The event occurred during the Ohio deer gun season when Seneca Conservation District hosted four hunters per day for five days. Tiffin-Seneca County Izaak Walton League members ensure the event is possible, and their hard work occurs before, during and after the event.

Izaak Walton League members prepare a hot breakfast for the hunters each morning during the event. Lunch and snacks are provided by Izaak Walton League members, the Seneca County Chapter of Pheasants Forever and other supporters.

Andrea Smythe, Ditch Maintenance Coordinator for Seneca Conservation District, expressed appreciation for the district’s partners, Izaak Walton League and Pheasants Forever, for helping put together this year’s hunt.
