Recently, the Ohio Pollinator Habitat Initiative (OPHI) received certification as a 501(c)(3) Non profit organization! In tandem with the certification, they’ve also updated their website design. Their new website highlights the importance of pollinators – like monarch butterflies – in maintaining the world’s wildflower and crop populations.

Landowners and homeowners can also learn more about collecting milkweed pods, and guidelines about establishing pollinator plots and habitats, to help maintain populations of monarch butterflies, honeybees and other species of pollinators. In addition, landowners and homeowners can find out more information about ongoing projects they can contribute towards – such as the Deer Creek State Park Restoration project – and upcoming events to learn more about how to help pollinators.
