Ann Cramer is a retired music teacher and the brains, imagination, and heart behind Story Time!

Join us for Story Time at the farm with Miss Ann!

If you know a preschooler who has an interest in farms, tractors, farm animals or plants, we host a story time just for them!

We meet the first Wednesday of each month at 10 a.m. at Proving Ground Farm (5670 E Township Road 138 Tiffin, Ohio). We meet rain or shine and invite preschool aged kids (but older siblings are more than welcome and will love it too!).

At Seneca Conservation District we believe that it is important for kids to be outside enjoying fresh air while meeting new friends and learning about farming. We have the opportunity to teach not only appreciation of what goes on on a farm, but also to foster the spirit of cooperation and kindness all while having fun!

We look forward to seeing everyone and are busy getting activities ready for the kids to enjoy, learn, and experience farming in Seneca County!

What to Expect:

1. Story Time

Miss Ann selects a new story each month to share with the kids and reads it aloud. The books are usually farm or nature related. We've covered The Three Little Pigs, Sheep in a Jeep, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, and many others!

2. Hands On Fun

After sitting for story time it's time to get up and get moving! Miss Ann creates a game, craft, or other hands on experience that is tailored to the story. Sometimes there are even live animals to learn about!

3. Snack Time

Miss Ann perfects every detail - even down to the snack! Snack is different each month and goes along with the theme of the book.

4. Free Play

After our snacks are finished, the kids have time to play on their own. We have a kid sized barn full of toys for the kids to explore - they can be a mechanic and fix a tractor, build their own farm, or play in the corn sensory bins as long as they like!
