No-Till Drill Rentals
We have two 10-foot Great Plains drills available to rent.
SCD will assist all renters with instructions on how to operate the drill.
Rental Rates:
$15 per metered acre,
$150 minimum usage charge,
additional $50 charge for equipment rental by a non Seneca County landowner.
The renter must transport the drill and return it to the SCD office.
Service Implementation
Our office will schedule the two drills to customers on a first come first serve basis.
- The customer completes a Rental Agreement and discusses their intended use.
- SCD Staff schedules their rental time slot.
- The customer picks the drill up from the office. SCD staff will assist with the hook-up of the drill and review the operation of the drill with the customer if necessary.
- SCD staff will discuss seeding rate settings with the customer but the actual rate setting and monitoring accuracy is the responsibility of the renter.
- When the field is planted the drill gets returned immediately to the office for the next customer to use.
When renting out each drill, our staff will consider the number of acres to be planted by a specific customer, travel time to the field, field conditions and weather forecast.

If you do not have access to a printer, we will provide you with a Rental Agreement form when you arrive.
