Voluntary Nutrient Management Planning

Voluntary Nutrient Management Planning (NMP) is a great way to save funds on fertilizer by avoiding over-application.
Also, did you know that sometimes NMPs are a requirement to get funding through different government programs?
Volunteering to go through this process with our team for guidance and assistance is a great way to show and know that your extra nutrients are not going to Lake Erie and feeding the current algae bloom issue.
Service Inclusion
This service includes a plan that states where, when, and how much fertilizer (or manure) will be put on your field to follow the Tri-State guidelines for the crops you want to grow for the next 3 years.
The Plan Includes
- Field Maps
- Soils Maps
- Field by field calculation of what product of fertilizer goes where on your field(s)
- How much fertilizer each field needs
- Specification of where no application of fertilizer is needed
- Starter and Side dress application
- Manure application
You can also receive a USB drive with all the applicators files to give to your Co-Op and sync spreading with the plan for program reporting requirements.
Service Implementation
Once we have all your information, we get your plan ready for you. In just a few days, we call you to sit down and review the plan together.
Then, we will give you a hard copy and a USB drive with all the electronic files as well.
